Barran Liebman LLP, a Portland-based employment, labor and employee benefits law firm (and Oregon Business Magazine’s 2013 BEST Small Company to Work for in Oregon), has an opening for an experienced employment litigation paralegal. We seek a paralegal with a positive personality who prides him or herself on being a step ahead, is confident, and is a team player who works well independently and as part of a cooperative environment. The qualified candidate will perform a variety of duties to assist our attorneys in employment litigation, and will be able to initiate contact with clients, attorneys, and other involved parties, as well as coordinate document management and production assignments with outside vendors.
To be considered, you must have at least 5 years of experience as a paralegal case manager with preference placed on candidates with a background in employment and labor litigation. A four year college degree is preferred, and an advanced degree in a related field or a paralegal certificate is highly desirable. Knowledge of Oregon and Washington state and federal courts and their local rules is a plus. Must be advanced in MS Office, AdobePro, and e-discovery software (Summation, Concordance or Relativity), be detail oriented, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and participation in a 401(k) plan. Interested candidates should send a cover letter describing their interest in Barran Liebman, their resume, and a list of references to email@example.com. Should you have any questions, please email Traci Ray, our Executive Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
