Barran Liebman is proud to announce that three of its own have been appointed to leadership positions in the Portland legal community. Managing Partner Ed Harnden will serve as the President of the Board of Directors of the Multnomah Bar Foundation for the coming year. Harnden has sat on the Board of Directors for the past two years, serving as Development Committee Chair and as Vice President.
Andrew Schpak, a partner of the firm, has been named as the Chair of the Oregon State Bar New Lawyer Mentoring Committee for the second consecutive year. This recently-established program matches new bar members with established lawyer mentors with the goal of providing new lawyers with the guidance they need to succeed in the profession.
Finally, Traci Ray, Marketing and Client Services Director for the firm, has been appointed Chairperson of the Oregon State Bar Pro Bono Committee. The Committee strives to provide legal access and representation to Oregonians who may not otherwise receive it. Ray served as the Secretary of the committee during the 2011 year.
