Twenty-four walkers and runners from Barran Liebman participated in the 12th Annual St. Andrew Legal Clinic's Race for Justice this past Saturday, June 16th. The Race, which featured a Kids' Fun Run, and a 5K Run/Walk to raise funds for the Clinic, is an institution in the Portland legal community. It is also an annual favorite at Barran Liebman, where attorneys, staff, family and friends rallied for the cause.
"It's wonderful to see such a high rate of participation from the firm," said Iris Tilley, an associate at Barran Liebman, who brought along the youngest participant, her 2-week old daughter. "This is a great fundraiser for families because it's easy to include everyone, and it directly benefits other families in the community."
St. Andrew Legal Clinic (SALC) has been providing legal services to low income people since 1979. With three office locations, Clinic attorneys help families in four Oregon counties. SALC has a staff of 14 full-time attorneys, and with the aid of 200+ volunteers, has provided legal help to more than 40,000 Oregonians.
