Avery Tunstill is a summer law clerk at Barran Liebman who is currently completing her J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law. As a law clerk, Avery supports attorneys with legal research, drafting, litigation preparation, developing employment policies, and crafting materials for client trainings.
Avery is the current Associate Editor-In-Chief of the Washington Law Review, where she works with legal scholars, judges, and practitioners to develop academic articles for publication. Avery has served as an extern for Justice Gordon McCloud at the Washington State Supreme Court, where she conducted research and drafted memos related to cases before the court. Avery brings local experience from her prior career as a paralegal at a Portland firm.
Avery was born and raised in Portland and in her free time, she enjoys the Portland food and wine scene, ceramics, crafting, and hiking with her dogs.
