Xavie Davenport is a summer law clerk at Barran Liebman who is currently completing her J.D. at Willamette Law School. As a law clerk, Xavie supports attorneys with legal research, litigation preparation, drafting employment policies, and developing materials for client trainings.
Prior to law school, Xavie pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon, graduating with a B.A. in Journalism and Communications. Xavie served as a legal extern for the Public Defender of Marion County. She was responsible for conducting research, drafted pretrial motions, and assisted in trial preparation for cases in criminal and juvenile law. Xavie has also represented clients with supervising attorneys in review hearings and pretrial hearings in criminal court.

Conducted legal research and advice regarding Washington and Oregon business tax and registration requirements.
Advised religious organizations on compliance with the free exercise and establishment clause of the United States Constitution.
Advised various clients on compliance procedures for wage and travel time in numerous states.
Provided guidance regarding Washington Rule 100 tax appeal on procedures and practices.
Successfully represents clients in the FEELDS, farmers, and farm industries.
Developed strategies for Employment Relations Board appellate case.
